Technology & AI
Built by us, with AI where it saves time
We build CatalyseAI, the survey platform behind our studies, and connect it to our own PocketsFull panel. AI helps draft questions, follow up on video and audio answers, sort open answers into themes and answer questions about your results. Your team keeps the final say on every study, or our researchers run it for you.
Ask the study
People under 35 preferred vanilla. Most said it tastes less sweet.
“I would pick it for breakfast, because it does not taste too sweet.”
Every number traced to the study's data
CatalyseAI
Our own platform, from question to report
CatalyseAI is our do-it-yourself survey platform, connected to our own PocketsFull panel. You write the questions, choose who answers and read the results in one place, with AI to draft questions, probe video answers and explain what the data says.
- 309ready-made question templates
- 20question types, each with its own chart
- 36more chart views
- 12targeting categories
- 95profile questions to target on
- 0–3AI follow-ups per video or audio question
- 5audience groups compared side by side
AI in each step
Four places AI does the slow part
01Design
Drafts from your brief
Create with AI turns a brief or a document into draft questions that you then edit like any other. The AI survey consultant plans a study in a short chat: it asks a few questions, suggests a default for each one and shows the whole plan on one card before anything is built.

Follow-ups on what people said
Video and audio questions sit inside a normal survey. After each answer, an AI interviewer can ask up to three follow-up questions about what the person just said, guided by your note on what to dig into.
Video answers03Analysis
Themes in open answers
AI insights groups the answers to each open, video or audio question into themes, with a sentiment bar. Every accepted recording is transcribed and can be searched for any word.
Audio answers04Report
Ask the study
Ask a question about your results in plain English. The report engine does the maths, the AI explains the result, and a check lists any number or quote it could not trace back to your data. The AI report downloads as a web page.

Do people under 35 prefer vanilla too?
Yes. Vanilla leads with people under 35 as well, and the gap with older people is not significant.

People stay in charge
Your team makes the calls
The AI drafts, follows up, sorts and explains. People decide what goes into a study and what it means.
Drafts stay drafts
Create with AI turns a brief into questions you edit like any other. The consultant shows the whole plan on one card, and nothing is built until you confirm.
The maths comes from the report
Every number in Ask the study is calculated by the same code that draws your report, with the same weighting. The AI explains the result; it does not do the arithmetic.
A check under every answer
Any number or quote that cannot be traced back to your data is listed under the answer. If the data cannot answer the question, it says so.
AI is optional
You can write every question yourself and read the results without the analyst. The AI tools are there when they save you time.
Our researchers run full-service studies
Hand us the whole study, and our researchers run it for you.
Video and audio answers
What happens to a recorded answer
Five steps, from the moment someone presses record to the theme their words end up in.
01
Record
People answer on camera or out loud, inside a normal survey. You set the length, from 1 second up to 10 minutes.
02
Check
A live person in front of the camera, enough light, length, words, topic relevance from 0 to 1 and, on video, attention from 0 to 1. A failed attempt goes back with the reason.
03
Follow up
An AI interviewer asks 0 to 3 follow-up questions, each from the answer the person just gave.
04
Transcribe
Every accepted answer is transcribed, follow-ups included, and can be searched for any word.
05
Read
Themes with a sentiment bar, groups built from what people said, and Ask the study reading the transcripts. Downloads: a CSV with the link, transcript, relevance, length and follow-ups, and the AI report as a web page.
